Mysterious and powerful,as they stalk the night,
Seeking their prey,as their eyes draw the light,
To kill is to live,a sense born within,
For survive they must, survive to the end.
Cautious, so cautious,at the sight of man,
For the sake of the species, his rights to this land,
A creature in danger, surely he knows,
As shots ring out, where the green grass grows.
The pressure upon him, builds every day,
As his God given land is taken away,
But who has a right to judge such a cat,
And who is at fault here, have you ever asked that.

Fantastic insight to the cougar
your beautifully flowing words could be used for many extinct animals that man is totally responsible for. Great work Michael XXXXXX

Hi, Missed you. Thanks for the wonderful comment.I just feel that this
is the only way of giving something back to the animals. You see,I use
to be a big hunter and trapper.Although I never killed a cougar,I have
trapped and killed several Bobcats,foxes,Etc.Etc.and all for the price
of a hide.Since I no longer take part in such sport,I have found that
there is better way to enjoy the animals of this world. They are so
beautiful.Much better to look and enjoy.:)~MMMMMMMMMMWA!
