During the day, I’m a Technical Evangelist for Microsoft Corporation. But in my spare time, I love experimenting with macro photography. If you use Windows Vista, you can find my first-ever digital macro photo as one of the default wallpaper images (it’s the banana leaf close-up). It’s amazing to think that—as of the time of this writing—that photo is installed on over 180 million computers around the world!

Most of my macro photos are of flowers, leaves, and various plant parts, though I do break out of that pattern on occasion. I like playing with color, contrast, composition, form, line, light, texture, and balance. I strive to create very high quality images, and believe me, for each good image, I have a hard drive full of bad ones. :-)
