These magnificent trees were by what I think must have been the edge of Loch Morlich: the Loch had completely frozen over, and I was standing on the ice. The trees seemed to be carrying the weight of the world on these branches… though they also appeared to be in the process of liberating themselves from this burden!

I made very sure only to go where others had already been…! The next day I was at another frozen loch that nobody had been to, and I made sure to stay well clear of the ice :)
