Photographed with a Canon 400D .. Blue Mtns, Australia.
With all our wet weather & not having done a walk since the last weekend in January, I was determined to get out on saturday despite the gamble with weather.
Leaving Sydney in heavy rain I was hoping that the predicted possible thunderstorm in the Blue Mountains wouldn’t happen or otherwise I might get in & get out before it eventuated.
There was light rain in South Lawson when I got to the start of the walk so I grabbed the big umbrella to protect the camera & some wet weather gear for me.
Cataract, Federal, Junction & Adelina Falls were itching to be photographed.
A lot of the track turned into a mini creek & most of the photos were taken with the big brolly protecting the camera from rain.
The dampness made the ferns greener & the orange bark of the angophoras was pure magic with the addition of rain.
I wanted to get a better shot of Junction Falls than the one in my gallery & I think this one does the job, though not as good as the great shot by Andy Newman.
Junction Falls is south of Lawson in the Blue Mountains National Park in New South Wales, Australia.
