Purling Brook Falls in Springbrook by

Photographed with a Canon 400D.

The beautiful Purling Brook Falls in the Springbrook National Park just west of the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia.

A 4 km track takes you to the bottom of the falls for great views up the cliff & you can walk under the falls if you don’t mind getting a bit wet.
You can see the walking track at the bottom left of this image.

The day started out a little cloudy but quickly turned sunny so I didn’t manage to get any good shots from down the bottom but it was a beautiful walk nonetheless.

The colour (top middle) is people on the viewing platform.

Scenery, Feb 2012.
All Parks, Feb 2012.

200 views as of Mar 25, 2012.

Great shot Michael. When was it taken. last year the track was closed because of a landslide.

  • Thanks John. This was taken on Jan 8, 2012. It was after a short dry spell but the colours really make it special. I didn’t notice any recent landslides.

VERTIGO … your composition really gives one an excellent sense of the whole 100m height of these falls … great work !

  • Only 100 metres ! I didn’t do the research on the height.
    Thanks Trish.
