Lower Somersby Falls .. behind the veil by

Photographed with Canon 400D, ISO 100, F22, 2 seconds, RAW Mode.

Aka .. What I was shooting when Wazza was shooting me.
There’s your answer George. I hope you like it.

Another photo from the very successful photo shoot with Wazza on 28.01.2012.

To get to this place you have to bend way down as you pass through the low rock ceiling behind the falls. Both times I needed to plant a hand in the mud to stop myself falling & picked up some mud that was almost as orange as my shirt & more orange than my hair !

I love the contrast of dark rock & artistically splashing white water.

This is Lower Somersby Falls in the Brisbane Waters National Park near Gosford in New South Wales, Australia.

Great effect Michael. The veil of running water gives it a great effect and divides the shot into “front” & “behind.” Well worth the mud!

  • Thanks John. There was no shortage of water to wash it off.

Excellent image Michael … this is magnificent … well worth the effort, it sounds like quite an adventure♥

  • Thanks a lot Bev. It wasn’t too difficult. We took it slowly & the mud we gathered was quite colourful.
I got excited when I saw this full screen. I’m glad you & others like it too. Thanks for the fave.

Fabulous. I was wondering how the shot looked.

Btw…thanks for the directions…I might need them for when I can go up and get some shots myself.

  • Thanks Lorraine. I’m happy to give you clearer directions if you want. I deliberately looked for a dry patch after a bit of rain & managed to get the timing just right. If it’s sunny, there is plenty of cover later in the afternoon for good shots.
Get on up there .. you’ll love it. Thanks for the fave.
