Searching for Terrace Falls at Hazelbrook in the Blue Mountains, my mental compass was a bit off the mark, but I did see this nice little valley with cool orange rocks & ferns.

I think this little waterfall is Victor Falls, though last weekend it was more of a trickle.
The bright sunshine made it hard to get the top of the falls/trickle without the advantage of HDR.

This is Hazelbrook in the Blue Mountains of Australia.

Ive been told you need a 4WD to get there ..nice shot mate.

  • Funny you should mention that mate. On the way back I got stuck on a steep, gravelly hill with my wheels spinning. Was thinking I might need to call the NRMA before I finally tried some extra speed to get over the hump.
I think I’ll focus on some easier places in the future. Then again, the road to Hanging Rock can be full of big puddles at times.

  • Thanks a lot Gail & thanks for the fave. I got some closer shots of the brilliant orange rocks. Still considering if there’s any good enough to put up.

Mike have you done the circuit behind Lawson Pub ??

  • Umm .. have done a walk off Honour Ave & a walk in North Lawson Park. I’m not sure where the pub is. BTW, I drove this road in a regular car. If only I’d known it was more of a 4WD road !

Nice capture Michael.. might not be flowing hard but still spectacular.. ;-))

  • Yep .. I love the greenery & the rocks & the orange colour. If there was a lot of water, it would hide the great rocks. Thanks for the fave Dave.

I love this one Michael … that red rock is certainly spectacular. Sounds like it was a real adventure♥

  • Thanks Bev. Sure was. I didn’t mention that I missed the track to the waterfall & made a long walk out of a relatively short walk ! Thanks for the fave.
