Driving home from my mum’s place in Garah in the north west of New South Wales, I left with drizzling rain but it cleared up 100kms down the road to bright sunshine.
I spotted this windmill in front of a mountain just north of Boggabri & thought it would make a good photo.
After taking a few shots I saw a sunflower that would fit well into the scene.
Sunflowers used to be grown commercially here (maybe there are still pockets of growers around) & there are many sunflower plants growing wild on the side of the road from the dropped seeds which provide a lot of bright colour for drivers.
Boggabri is in the north west of NSW in Australia.
Just north of Sydney, there was a storm with torrential rain.
