I usually avoid Katoomba because it is more tourist oriented & favour the more remote areas.

After doing the Ruined Castle walk & feeling very sore from the mountain climbing, we decided to check out a spot that required less effort.

This view from the lookout features Katoomba Falls to the left, The Three Sisters & the Scenic Skyway cable car that carries passengers horizontally over the valley 205 metres below!

I used a shutter speed of .8 seconds to give the waterfall a silky look which also makes the moving cable car a little blurry.

This is the Blue Mountains National Park in Australia.

I’m fascinated by the beauty of nature & in particular Australian native flowers & landscapes. I also love colour & anything unusual.
The Blue Mountains are my favourite spot at the moment.

Great shot Michael. Went on the cable car years ago, it went only halfway and back. Things have changed I believe.

  • Thanks John. I took a ride many years ago but I can’t remember the details apart from the fact that I looked down once & then decided it was best for me to view the sights horizontally!

Hi Michael … this is beautiful. We were actually up there again this weekend too but I wasn’t as adventurous as you♥

  • Thanks Bev. You just answered the question I asked elsewhere. I wish I wasn’t quite as adventurous. I’m still sore.
