The rusted old coal train relics on Dudley Beach south of Newcastle.
This is near Glenrock Lagoon.
Obviously not a Sydney photo, but I stuck it in the Sydney portfolio because it didn’t fit anywhere else (not quite country).
Country born & bred but now located in Sydney, Australia.
I’m fascinated by the beauty of nature & in particular Australian native flowers & landscapes. I also love colour & anything unusual. The Blue Mountains are my favourite spot at the moment.
Top shot Michael … when were you there?♥
Thanks Bev. I was there about 4 or 5 years ago. I have to check my diary on that one. That nice lake shot I have in my gallery was taken at the same time.

Its a wonderful image Michael, have done the big 30k walk past there from the Wattagan Mts to Newcastle on the Great North Walk.cheers mate.
Gee .. that’s a big walk. Sounds great. Thanks for the compliment & fave.
Great image Michael. I like the old relics beside the beach.
Thanks Mike. I’m surprised they are still there. Maybe too heavy for anyone to souvenir. Thanks for the fave.
Very nice, Michael. Like the lone runner.
Thank you. I normally like my shots to be without people, but in this case it adds interest to the scene. I think he was just strolling.
Lovely piece of coastline, well captured Michael!
Thanks a lot Terry.
a wonderful scene Michael and the old train wheels? give it an added touch.
Thanks Mark. I think they might be gone now.
Nice shot. It’s not every day that you see train bits on a beach. I figured there might be some relics from the coal mining days lying around Dudley somewhere. I must look into it one day.
Thank you. This was taken over 5 years ago. There were a few relics there as well as some tracks visible further up. I had a friend visit there earlier this year but he didn’t see these wheels, so maybe they’ve been souvenired by someone since then.
