This is the lush scenery on the Forest Walk in the Royal National Park, south of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The walk leads off Lady Carrington Drive (access via Sir Bertram Stevens Drive.

I will remember this photo well because as I descended down from the walk to get a better view, I went for an unplanned slide down the wet, slippery bank & ended up with a large brown deposits on several areas of my jeans & hands, etc.
There was no threat of broken limbs & looking back, it was kind of fun.

I love this one Michael … so true to many bush scenes. I can almost feel the dampness and smell the wet soil … great work and LOL!!! haven’t we all been there … the slip I mean!! I bet you held the camera high though away from harm♥

  • Thanks Bev. I can still remember the beautiful, fresh smell of the soil & plants. I think it has become an automatic reaction to protect the camera from damage ahead of our bodies.

Beautiful picture, Michael. I notice the water has a very similar colour to the streams and rivers here in Nova Scotia, probably for the same reason. By the way, I do hope the brown deposit was on the outside, rather than the inside, of your jeans. lol

  • Thanks David. Some of the colour was from the rocks underneath. I’m not sure about the rest. Yes, the brown was on the outside & it was a shame to wash the jeans just now because the smell of the dirt reminded me of the beautiful forest & a great day.

    Wonderful Pov, excellent exposure.

  • Thanks mate. The slight breeze shows up in the leaves but the longer exposure brings out the colours better.
