I almost named this Stairway to Heaven because I was so impressed with the lush ferns & the beautiful moss & fern covered rocks.
The rock here was completely covered in moss & ferns.
As you go past Leura Cascades on the Round Walk you go down the steep cliff face on a track called the Fern Bower Walk.
This takes you to the bottom of a waterfall & onward. I will have to research & find out where the track goes from here. The light was fading so I will get to see the rest of the track another day.

This is the walk I chose to do on the first day of 2010 & it certainly was a great choice.

This is part of the Blue Mountains National Park in Australia.

I love it when paths look like they have been there forever…bet it doesn’t take long for vegetation to “fill in the spots” where you took this photo..the different shades of green and designs…beautiful.

  • Thanks Brian. Fortunately this spot seems to be protected from the elements which is why it looks so pristine. The steep steps also keep it for the avid nature lovers like myself.

wonderful capture – I visited the Blue Mountains about 20 years ago now – it was so amazing.

  • Thank you Rose. It’s a beautiful amazing area & I’m very grateful to the people who built these walks. Just remember when it’s cold over your way, it’s nice & warm here. That’s an invitation to visit again.
