Purple rain
Patersonia occidentalis (Native Iris or Purple Flag).
There were quite a few of these on the Short Cut track at the Valley of the Waters at Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains.
The misty rain covered them in light raindrops.
I was fascinated by the delicate inner centre & considered cropping this shot to focus on it but it made the image a bit small. so you will have to hit the ‘View Larger’ button to see it better.
Purple rain belongs to the following groups:
All About Flowers, Extreme Close-Ups, One Single Flower On Show.. 2 Photo's per day, Purple Passion Gallery. 2 per day , Rain Drops & Water Art - Fresh Water Only!, Vibrant and Vivid Color and Vibrant Plants Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

It is Michael – purples/mauves – love them :o))
Maybe I have some royal blood in me? ...Lol

I believe purple is a regal colour & lavender/violet is a spiritual colour. You will notice that it is the highest vibration of the colours in the rainbow, as opposed to the more earthly red, orange & yellow. You probably knew that already.

Thankyou for taking the time to share this Michael :o)) – so does this mean that I am both royal and spiritual? Lol…
