The way you work with impasto is so darn special….I gotta ask if you don’t mind….how long does a work like this take to cure properly when rendered in oil? Or do you add a medium to your oil paint for quicker drying time? Really curious that’s all.

  • Thank you Tahnja. It takes about about 1-2 weeks for oils to dry. A thinner application of paint would dry a little quicker. Acrylics dry so much faster, I just can’t seem to get used to that medium. I’m always amazed by the beautiful work by other artists, such as yourself, in acrylics.

Wow that is an intense and beautiful tiger. Love the thick painterly quality in this work.
