Michael Creese was born in Chicago, Illinois, and studied art at Carnegie Mellon University, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He paints in the oil impasto style, a technique used in art where paint is laid thickly on canvas, leaving visible brush (or palette knife) strokes. When dry, impasto provides a great deal of texture to the finished painting. He also works with several other mediums in addition to oils.

Outstanding painting
This is just fabulous. I love your use of colour and composition and what could be more peaceful than seeing Koi in a pond. This became an instant favorite.
it’s simply beautiful… one can feel the water and the graceful lines created as each koi swims through it… : )
excellent creations, very inspiring, gallo
Lovely subtle dynamics going on here – In no way a static image, the ‘twitch’ of their tails is almost provocative. Amazing :)
Beautiful flow to the painting and the colors are impeccable!
