Storm's Debut

Taken from my poetry books written late at night by the bed

Ever is the sandy beach riddled with grey clouds,
Huge waves crash down,
The water surges to the road,
Trees bend like rubber,

My hair is blown about,
The wind is shifty and mischief,
Buildings crumbled,
Their bricks succumbing to the energy,

Chaos came tonight,
Uninvited as always,
To a wondrous party,
Now the balloons are gone,

My suit is ruined,
Salt crusted and drenched,
A biscuit in my mouth,
I applaud nature fury,

Double or nothing
Triple the alcohol,
Bring me my piece I need chocolate,
My hands sweat,
My glass trembles,
At storm’s debut
