Letters on the mirror

The silver surface spreads far and wide,
Texture in her hand gold is it’s ink,
She makes her heart known,

Letters on the mirror,
the tip dancing across it,
She has been standing here,
Sending her correspondence for weeks,

Her calligraphy is filled with ribbons and bows,
Nobody comes to read or study them,
She cares not for an audience,
Just a desire to spill her feelings,

Letters on the mirror,
The tip dances with a swing of a melody,
She sings to the mirror,
The writing glows softly so hypnotically,
like that glow of a lover’s eye,
locked in a romantic gaze,

On this night she will call out for a reply,
A reply will pick up his maroon texture,

I love the visual picture of writing on a mirror

expression, emotions, michael, couacaud, mirror, girl, love, boy

I live and work in Melbourne. Currently I shoot on film there is something about the decaying charm of this analogue format that reflects the slow passing of time in life.
