I was walking in Downtown Tribeca, NY last week when I looked up at this old building. It seems vacant and I had the sneaking suspicion that it would be gutted and totally redone. I imagined this old ad on the building would be gone—and so I shot it immediately. I see it as a historical view of Old New York. I did a bit of selective coloring play to get the message across more clearly. :)

looks fantastic! Love the bold selective color. Great capture
What a great old building. It would be nice if they renovated it rather than knocking it down. Just look at those beautiful windows. The old mural advertisement is so reminiscent of my childhood. This sort of ad was prevalent in cities. Anywhere there was a bare wall, someone would paint a big colorful ad! I like the green and yellow colors you chose for the selective bit.
Very nice Michael…
I always wonder about old buildings..Don’t have very many in my small town..but in the big city it’s a different story.
Good work.
Excellent artwork, Michael.
Michael, this is sharp!
Wow!
This is beautiful Michael.
It would be great if they renovated the inside of the building and kept the outside as is.
Janine : )
A great shot.
