…simply FOR THE LOVE OF THE BIKE. I used to be an avid cyclist…I guess I can get back into it easily. When I create photos like this one it inspires me to ride like the wind. :)
I rode around this city for 20 years, Michael, so I can appreciate the aesthetic you talk about. Something about the human working as one with the bike, both beautiful machines.
I used to ride an old bike like this in the states; but where I lived? No cities. I lived in the middle of absolutely nowhere, the only things around me were farms, cows, and tornadoes! It took all day to ride the 8 miles on some rather difficult roads (30-45 degree hills!) to get to the nearest ‘town’. Nostalgia, here I come! Love the colors!
I can’t stop singing now… It is the night, my bodys weak Im on the run, no time for sleep I’ve got to ride, ride like the wind to be free again…. you know the song, great shot!
