Why JOIN "The Buyers Club" Group ?

The BUYERS CLUB GROUP is meant for members who:

1. …want to build a bond with other artists and support one another by getting to know their ART.

2. …it’s MORE than about just SELLING YOUR ART…it’s about BUYING ART and becoming a collector yourself (or selecting gifts for the friends and loved ones in your life).

3. …The Buyers Club requires that you make 2 PURCHASES per year (one in the first half of the year JAN-JUNE; and one in the 2nd half of the year JULY-DEC) and it must be something ‘other than’ a greeting card product.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy…try joining please as we are looking for participative members who want to sell their ART and support one another, too.

Writers: Do you TWITTER ?

I just started doing “tweets”. You can find me as MichaelArm at www.twitter.com

What is all this twitter talk about?

Well, I just started my “tweets” a week or so ago. A friend of mine (Tyler Franks) suggested it as a mechanism for tidbit notes for an eventual reference source for your very own book. I liked the sound of that and decided to ‘jump on the bandwagon’. I am now finding myself thinking of what “tweet” I shall announce each day. It can be random or it can be something everyone can learn from. A “tweet” is simply text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length on ‘whatever subject’ you are doing or thinking at that given moment.

Give it a try…it will re-AWAKEN you. :)
Hugs,
Michael

THE BUYERS CLUB requires EVERY member to make 2 purchases per year.
This means each member must buy something OTHER THAN A GREETING CARD…a print, a t-shirt, a calendar….Members must make one purchase
btwn Jan-June 2009
and one purchase btwn July—Dec 2009.

Each member may sell something within their ENTIRE portfolio…you are not restricted by what you upload to the GROUP.

I’m hoping this Group creates more sales for those of us who want to sell more of our work. TH…

Your Mother...For One More Day

My mother passed away on January 24, 2000. Perhaps I am writing this now because it is January and that ‘shocking’ event is being refreshed in my mind.

In 2006, I saw a book at a Starbucks in Napa Valley called FOR ONE MORE DAY by Mitch Albom. I had read his previous book TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE and my mom read it and loved it as well. This new book was about a grief-stricken young man who goes into an alcoholic tailspin when his always-attentive mother, dies. So, of course, I had to read it.

I certainly did not go into an alcoholic tailspin after my mother passed away but I thought I would get something out of it. I was also intrigued because I really did want my mother “FOR ONE MORE DAY”…and I thought this book might do the trick.

Fast forward a month an…

Oh Wow...Thanks BUNCHES!

What a sincere THRILL I just had in learning that I was one of the top 5 photographers chosen to be appreciated for the month of November in the EF GROUP. Thank you ALL who voted for me; however, I am in such envy by all of the photographers in our Group. Again…I am delighted and most honored for the recognition. BIG Hugs. :)
