HM Queen Elizabeth II
I saw this torn up photo of the Queen at an antique mart in Buenos Aires. I snapped a photo of it and restored it on PhotoShop. I still can’t get over how young she was here. I don’t think I’ve seen her this youthful and beautiful.
Sold 1 laminated print to a fan in England.

A great Photoshop job. You obviously know your way around that application.. :-)
Cool idea too. The result is nothing short of excellent!
I think I’ll make it a fav.
By the way this is a painting, and the painter was most likely to be payed by the motive.
Taking this in to equation the beauty fades quickly, and looking at old press photos (as in not touched up) of her…it completely vanishes.
You see, the bitch was never actually and really beautiful according to the common apprehension of the word.
Of course you can look away from the horse like features, and focus on her then fresh youth sprinkled and framed by the most expensive jewelry and clothing money, intimidation and power can steal.
But despite all this, there is no hiding the fact that she is unfortunate enough to be burdened with the hideous features so characteristic for that family of exploiters, rapists, despots, war mongers, slave traders, thieves, pirates, bigamists, perverts, thugs, cons, prostitutes, pimps, money lenders, murderers and bandits with no respect for common peoples rights and hard work.
And today there is nothing that can hide the fact that she is and look like a monster…
Eeeh by the way I am not a royalist…..just in case someone should still be in doubt. :
))))We have that bullshit here in Norway to (they’re even related), and they are just as ugly. They come from the same inbreed bunch of thugs as the very rest of Europe’s royalty (read responsibility and work avoiding exploiters), and they have been here for about 1500 years…....about time we loose them. They can sign up for unemployment benefits for all I care :

congrats on making the homepage

If anyone is confused by Karl Williams’ comment, I shoud say that it is the painting that is hanging in The Tate, not the Queen herself. The revolution hasn’t happened…. yet!

I agree with the majority here…great image, great edit job too…
shame the whole is solied by nasty comments, thought we wer bigger than that on RB, but like most things in life, there is disappointment.
this picture was in evey school when I was a child…a classic painting of a an icon of the 20th and 21st century like it or not its a fact.
being a European and a Brit and french woman to boot…I’m appalled RB allows such shenanigans here…

I think the Queen is a remarkable woman, she has maintained to achieve her station and role in life to best of her duty with honour and wisdom – she has kept a symbol for others to follow (if they cared to really look). Top of the chart for you !!!!
I remember back to a child when you had to go to the Principal’s office, you would wait sitting on the chair and staring at the Queen’ portrait – that is where I learnt what dignity and responsibility was.
Three cheers for you work !!!!
Anne Smyth
congratulations Michael – controversary not withstanding it is a beautiful restoration
