I’d like to dedicate this picture to all of the people who are involved with the rescuing and re-homing of pets!
There are so many unwanted pets in the world and with the help of these people some of these lives can be saved and good homes found!
These are 2 of my Guinea Pigs; Bonzo with the white crest and Dopey with the ginger crest!
Bonzo is a male (boar) Red Eyed Golden American Crested Guinea Pig.
Dopey is a male (boar) Red Eyed Golden English Crested Guinea Pig.
They are brothers and it is the different colored crests that make them different breed standard Guinea Pigs.
Bonzo and Dopey came to me as rescue Guinea Pigs! They were abandoned when a family moved home! Left in the hutch in the back garden. The people in the house next door were giving them fresh food and water for months before the boys were sent to go into a foster home! After spending a few months in a foster home I decided to adopt them! When I got them they were in a sorry state. I had to cut their nails, treat them for parasites, bath them and handle them more so they would become friendlier; understandably they were very nervous!
I’ve now had them for 5 months! Now they love their cuddles and I have entered them into many shows where they have done so well. I am very proud of them and can’t imagine not having them!
This is Bonzo with all of his certificates and rosettes from the 4 shows he has attended since being in my care.
