The buildings in Buenos Aires certainly have style, such as the detailed carving and the beautiful copper door on this bank.

I always wanted to be an architect, but instead did several art degrees, taught in schools and universities around the world and retired a few years ago from the University of Melbourne where I was Head of Photography. My photographs are of things that interest me. My real love was medium format, black and white photography, but I have come to love my digital camera and the power of colour.

WOW ! Congratulations on your feature of this excellent architectural image Maggie ! I love the intricate carving and wonder whether the door is polished daily … would love to see it in reality !
The architecture is truly amazing Trish. Perhaps you should add Buenos Aires to the bucket list!

Unfortunately neither South America nor Africa is high on Peter’s wish list, (or Alaska and Antarctica), but then neither was Europe until a year or so ago …… so much to see …..
