Purred
“While You Purred”
While you purred your hearts all I heard.
While you purred my love undeterred.
While you purred all my thoughts were whirs.
While you purred I watched for a while.
I held your paw and made you smile.
While you purred I dreamt of a day,
filled with blue skies and fields where we would play.
While you purred I cried out the tears.
Tears for the fallen, their hopes and their fears.
While you purred I did my part,
I gave you my spirit,
I gave you my heart.
While We Purred.
