What is in the eye of the beholder? This single stalk of fireweed springs up on the south shore of Lake Louise, in Banff National Park in Alberta Canada. Taken from about 15 feet away with a 300 mm lens at F4. The turquoise in the foreground is the unmistakeable water of Lake Louise. The white band through the middle is a year round glacier miles away. Everything else in the frame is rock and scree. A lot of fun setting this up, and a lot of fun with the tourists wondering what I was doing.
