You know what’s neat about this?
If you look at the ceiling, it looks like it’s modern..the ceiling of a nice hotel even.
It completely seperates itself from anything rusty, crusty or falling to bits! It’s that
double sided set of scales here that intrigues me and that I like the most. :)

Seems a shame that they let this place go downhill, but then again we wouldn’t have this good shot.

    G’day Michael,

My heartiest congratulations on this being chosen for the Group’s avatar for the coming month.
It is a well deserved win and a most unusual “crusty ‘n’ fallin’ to bits” subject, composed very well and photographed nicely under what looks like difficult conditions.
    Good work that man!

this photo reminds me of a testimony i once read. i’ll try to get the story right but it was said that a coach was a christian who would witness to this one guy who was an athiest. the athiest just let the coach talk and talk but ignored him not beleiving in a God or afterlife.

the guy later that week, went to practice his swimming routiens for a later sport event. the pool room was dark, he assumed the pool was full. a janitor walked in and turned the lights on and yelled to the young man “what are you doing, that pool’s been drained for maintanace !”

the man on the diving board turns (he was going to do a backwards flip dive) and sees to his horror that he could have been paralyzed or killed.

the fist thought that entered the young man’s head was …..........”WHAT IF…..........”

“what if the coach is right, what if i had died without God?”

that same night he kneeled right where he was and thanked God for his mercy and for giving him another chance. he gave his life to the lord.

i hope this helps and encourages someone as it did me as i use to be suicidal.
