love wood cuts…have you done a colour print?
Hi picketty, I am trying out a color woodcut technique right now, it uses watercolor instead of ink and is printed by hand. And it only uses one block. But my next step is to practice the traditional color woodcut process….I think I haven’t done it before because it seems so complicated!!Do you do woodcuts?

This is a great outcome. I think the watercolour process is a great idea. I have recently completed a five colour reduction woodcut run – never again!! It is so time consuming but don’t let me put you off!!
Hi Susan, thanx for your comments! The watercolor process is a long one, every print is practically painted onto the woodblock, several layers of watercolor for each part. Everything is done by hand, no press! Check out Blanche Lazell on the web. Reduction scares me a bit, that’s why I tried the watercolor. I’m almost finished, once it’s done, I’ll upload it so you can see :-)
