Desert Moment

Desert Moment

A rare meeting with a beduin woman in the Red Sea Desert. This woman was unable to speak and in silence we shared a very special moment over a cup of sweet tea she made over a small fire. I will never forget her.

Facial decoractions such as piercings and tattoos are quite commen in the elder generation of Egyptian women.

Excellent portrait, you captured the essence of her in the smile and twinkle in the eye. The beduin hospitality is well known and thou you had a language barrier, you still communicated with her and captured a portrait that tells a life story. Thanks for sharing with the Art of the Middle East group.
