One of the benefits of travelling is that you realise that people see the world very differently in different parts of the world. Our secular scientific view of the world is not the norm everywhere.
I’m interested in the impact the past has on the present.. the megalith is one of the earliest existing forms of human expression in Britain. I personally don’t believe the early Britons where any less sophisticated than their mainland European counterparts, our cave paintings have probably been washed away.. stone carvings have weathered by the climate. But these large stones remain. So these large stones are our direct tangible connection to the past.
So this an image about the anarchy of this time, compared to the structure of the far distant past… the easy multiplicity of the present and the harsh singularity of this distant past. What does it all mean.. I’ve no idea.
The materialism of the present as opposed to spirituality(?) of the past. I don’t believe I am descended from soup.
