A work inspired by the massive shape of Mount Skiddaw in Cumbria. (pronounced locally as “Skidda”)

This mountain stands apart from the other major Lakeland peaks.. like a brooding giant and seems to rise up higher than the rest because of it.

The people of the area are also independent minded and proud to be different..

    Good portrait of skiddaw – sometimes it is covered in mist and you cant see it properly but then you notice the smaller detail of the patterns on the stone and the drystone walls
