Come Sail your Ships around me....

I have a little fascination going on that is keeping me occupied. The channel delineators in the bay at Port Melbourne. They’re very hard to detect in the day time, but, at night there is an extravagant yet subtle light show that goes on. I managed to catch the lights for a second or two….:D

This is pretty amazing Melody – the way the drama is strongly related to the distance and the ‘approach’ is its strength and power to me. Fan bloody tastic.

i am loving this new style you are exploring in your images….. it’s a lot darker and more menacing than your earlier stuff…..which was also brilliant…..but this is superb!

    Truly a lovely shot Melody.
If I may make a suggestion, try a higher aperture maybe f22 or more. This will star the lights more than flare them and secondly allow you to slow the shot down catching more lights. Perhaps something to experiment with if you haven’t already.
    Great shot,
    Etienne x

Lovely shot!! Just to answer the fellow below, it’s not rain, but smoke from the ship’s funnel.
