A Night on Earth 1

A Night on Earth 1

Named after one of my favourite movies.

Taken in Yarraville with my one of my photographic mentor’s, Lisa. We had security, the Po-lice, and customs patrolling as we photo’d the night away. I think the lens flare works in this, and the other bits of evening light flotsam and jetsam in the sky..

Nice. I think I know exactly where that is, shot a car there about a year ago.

Don’t worry about customs, security, police, as they have no power to stop you shooting anything as long as you are on public land. The only thing you should be worried about is being robbed. It’s a good idea to go out in pairs if at all possible.

Heheh….John, Im sure you’re right…Last time we photo’d further down the street on the pier we had our details taken by security….but I think night time is probably a little dangerous in this vicinity….but oh so tempting!

There’s a little park at the end of that road, along the river (assuming you shot this where I think you shot it). I’ve seen discarded syringes there, a bad sign…

  • Melody

    Melody

I guess you could call it a park….there is definately an area there, no grass, lots of people go there to fish…It’s eternally fascinating to me with all the HUGE ships that glide past….I have a timetable of the expected ships. Im not sure why people would want to fish in this place….the water has to be immensely polluted.!

That smoke trail is unreal, I’ve been away from your portfolio too long, that’s a hell of an exposure judging by the breaklight trail, cracking capture.

Yeah “Night On Earth” is one of my faves too. I remember when I saw it, it became my favourite film. I really like films that are like a series or vignettes. Not that there’s many around…

I remember I heard that Jim Jarmusch made the actress who played the blind girl do that thing with her eyes rolled upward because her eyes are so beautiful and she’s known for her eyes, or something like that.

So many great moments in that movie.
