A great shot that screams Melbourne to me but in a beautifully subversive way. Well done.

That’s just superb, are those bugs flying around the two poles? Love the lights running parallel with the container. Great stuff.

Thank you guys. No, Ed, believe it or not those are actually seagulls…They were having some kind of conference up there:)

WOW – THis is great Melody… Really Nice exposure… I like how the sky and containers on the right are the same hues.. AND of course containers AND the balte AND at night is the perfect recipe. Nice work!

    Really nice work Melody.

The word ITALY really caught my eye when I first saw it several days ago. I’ve never seen such a countainer before. I was in Dandenong just a few days ago when I saw, just maybe, the same container! Can it possibly be so? For the container experts out there (LOL) has anyone seen these before?

I’ve “Never” seen one with ITALIA” written on it before….This container should really live in Carlton! It would be interesting to track the journey of a container from go to wo…:) Hehe, these things fascinate the hell out of me:)

Melody, just new on the bubble, heard your interview on JJJ a few weeks ago and wanted to check it all out. I absolutely love your stuff, it is right up my alley, and very reminiscent of works by one of my favourite artists Jeffrey Smart. Keep up the good work, very inspiring!

I’ll second that comment about Jeffrey Smart. My fave as well
and i love images with text and interesting typography and try
to photograph it whenever i can.
I have taken many images at Webb Dock of containers etc
and the industrial themes fascinate me but this image has a
quality about it that makes it stand out.
I too have not seen an Italia container, but you,
no doubt like me, don’t want to see another “China Shipping” container!
Well Done and i look forward to seeing more.

Excellent atmospherics. I can see Christian Bale in ‘The Machinist’ just knocking off and walkling past here.
