One of my many abstract acrylic paintings, although unusual amongst the many traditional paintings I have in other groups on Redbubble. I love the wonder of expressing oneself through abstract painting portraying emotions and feelings through the medium.

I like the colour combinations. Nice abstract..

This excellent expressionist work is certainly a contrast to your wonderful realist painting – It is great to see an artist exploring like this – really well done!

very emotional, to me this is a woman on her knees with her head bent forward, pounding her raised fist down in frustration. a great painting

Woman? Fists?
I just see a well composed and intriguing abstract.
Marie Magnusson
but she is SO obvious! on the left hand side, her bare legs and arm are even skin-toned, wearing a pink dress ending above her knee and her hair- probably very curly- in a big fluffy ponytail, perhaps covered with a scarf tied around the head so just the ponytal bounces out.
I do tend to see human bodies and faces everywhere; in paintings, in the pattern of the lino-floor in my house, in the folds of a curtain. I don’t hear voices in my head yet. At least I think the voices I hear are from real people….

Isn’t that the wonder of abstract Art! I’m glad the emotional qualities are doing what they are supposed to do. Many thanks for the lively discussion I shall post more of my abstract work.

i really like the vibrancy of that pink/red, this painting does have an edge of frustration but also to me personally, theres some what a sense of fragility and fading into the background, almost hiding rather then angrily/frustratingly banging fists.
