Unimaginatively titled, but this is one of a pair that I love for their simplicity. They are both painted in sepia watercolour, an unforgiving medium which means that there is no possibility of hesitation.

Lovely work… ! Ink with pen and wash is something I like to use to same effect….very unforgiving, but so rewarding when it works ! You obviously have great drawing skills.

You’ve failed to hesitate brilliantly with this piece Melissa. The lines that detail the limbs are gorgeous, both in weight and accuracy. That unruly mop of ‘bed’ hair is lovable. Excellent.

Due to the amazing popularity of this image I have re-formatted it and made it available as a print. I always did love this series of paintings (about 25 in all), but this has received over 1,500 hits in a month, so I guess that makes it a hit in my books.
