Lower jaw bone of a European Red Fox – Vulpes vulpes – that was given to us.

Since their introduction into Australia in 1855, the fox has been responsible for the decline of many species of native animals. They also prey heavily on newborn lambs. They are a serious threat to our biodiversity, and are a declared pest, with numbers estimated to be around 7 million.
