I apologise for being crass and inarticulate, but I don’t know any other way to describe what we’re doing to the natural world.

Hi Mel, your images really do capture a sense of isolation and desolation… Loving your style, the monochromatic effects do a great justice to your message :-)

  • that means a lot, Sandy – thanks mate :)

Yeah, we have some massive problems don’t we. We have a huge problem with soil erosion up here on the Tablelands due to poor land management……. it’s tough!

  • We sure do, Sylvia – where to start! I can’t believe that things actually grow in the district where this photo was taken. A lot of it is just so barren, saline and lifeless.

Yep, you said it – and man, I am so over it…..

  • I know, I know……it’s heartbreaking. People don’t want to change either, and live more sustainably. We are so wasteful! I feel like an idiot when I talk about it, people just stare at me blankly…
I’m not blowing my own trumpet here, but Matt and I recently won the local waterwise gardening competition, and it’s amazing the number of people who just don’t get the concept or could care less. It’s almost like it’s a far-out idea, but in a place like Aus it should be embraced.
Anyway, I’ll spare you my rant, Lou :)
