This piece was done whilst visiting my partners family in New Zealand. This was the first time I had met them, we came from Canada, Australia, Tonga and Thailand to bond as a family in New Zealand. The holiday was so amazing, what beautiful people, I was accepted with open arms and welcomed as an ‘Artist’.
Although to the onlooker this is just a big busy mess of colour and texture, to those of us who were united in NZ, we are all represented in this special artwork. Love to you all family.

Here it is! I looked for this one to show Joan but missed it! How amazing knowing the original so well and seeing it on line. I will make sure she sees it soon.
Thanks Jackie, thanks for getting Joan on line to see my art, I’m adding new ones nearly every day, so keep looking. Regards Mel

There is nothing at all messy about this beautiful piece. Sentiment behind its construction makes it even more beautiful. Love the colors and the textures. You’re a master of mixed media.
Roy thank you for such a wonderful and inspirational comment. Very much appreciated and sincere appologies for not replying sooner. Regards Mel
