Feeling Blue

Feeling Blue

My first kaleidescope using my own ink on silk image (Bloomin Brilliance) with a colour change.

A digital experiment using Photoshop Elements and a kaleidescope plug-in.

Seemed like an appropriate title after a fortnight of illness and depression. It’s nice to feel like creating again and it’s my art that pulls me out of my low points.

I know I should know what PSE is, as I have been told before, but, what is it? I can’t remember! Photoshop something or other?

  • MelDavies replied

Thanks for your feedback, it stands for Photoshop Elements. I’ve only just got it and this is the first thing I’ve done…..I’m still experimenting. Regards Mel

Congratulations. This has a very nice watercolor effect. Great colors.

I, too, use the Mehdi plug-in with Photoshop.

  • MelDavies replied

Thanks Kathleen. I’ve only just got Photoshop Elements about two weeks ago and then found the plug in last week, this is my first kaleidoscope, love the plug in.

Not really sure what the PSE and plug ins are but I love the effect of the soft texture and the radiant colours.

  • MelDavies replied 15 days ago

Thanks for your feedback. PSE stands for Photoshop Elements, which I have only had for about 3 weeks, so still experimenting. Plug ins are additional filters that you can use. Hope this helps Regards Mel
