Here’s a blast from the past. My first DSLR, Canon 20D, with the 15mm fisheye. Loved that combo! 2006

I love Silverton… it’s so weird there….
wow wee what a cool image and awesome place….
So cool, Mel! I’ve seen a number of photos of this place… but the kid and the bowed horizon add something extra!!
the fisheye effect is neat!
very nice, Mel. Simple elements, soft colours, curious kid, repeated theme … great use of fisheye … love it
Are those emu’s painted on the cars? Very cool! Love the fisheye effect here and great tones. Cool shot Mel :)
Great work Mel, Love the fisheye effect.
Hey nice work, I grew up here and Broken HIll….. good to see it again :))
Those were the days Mel,wild and open, been there last week and the place has been stuffed up and looks very disapointing now, they placed the painted WV’s in front of a house with powerpoles around them, the church has lots of plants and other stuff in front of it now including a wire fence a huge container at the back and a “normal” WV parked on the side of it…..gone are the good old days I remembered from about 12 years ago,the place has lost it’s charm and I for one will not return.
sure sounds like a place to avoid if you want decent pics! That is sad!

Love that alignment, Mel. Beetle, beetle, church, if it is a church? The paint jobs are interesting. I would never have guessed Emu or anything else for that matter. You did have the knack for this early on it looks.Dick
It’s an unused church, as far as I know, Dick. Thanks, I loved the fisheye with the 20D, it was a fantastic combo.
