Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have….

Nice one Mel and I thought only we had a water problem.
oh! the light! gorgeous Mel… and you even managed to capture 3 different kinds of animals too
beautiful picture… Find Wallaby, ducks crossing and ITS A BIRD, ITS A PLANE… IT’S… a bird… hehe.
well captured especially with the animals in it. beautiful warm feeling for the first day of winter :)
Thanks so much Hans, Haydn and Benjamin. I was aiming for the white bird, didn’t even see the ducks or wallaby until I got home and put it up on the screen. First time I’ve seen a white bird at the dam, both before this, and after…
No Mist today mate, did you miss it again. Love this one. Looks like it’s gonna be a hit too. xkc
Very Nice Mel, I can see this hanging on a wall for sure.
Thanks so much Karen and Neil! I slept in this morning! Shock horror!
sigh Such beautiful light, breath taking scene. I’m so glad you have this reminder, and I hope you see it this way again very soon.
Thanks so much IR, I hope to see it again soon too! Unfortunately the kangaroos decided to breed madly with the last little bit of rain we had in Nov 2006, and all of a sudden there are thousands of them! Nothing green stands a chance :(
Cool image – has a real sense of timeless dignity. love it!
