Looks like a Lenticular…but I could be wrong…Nice cloudscape Mel…Mark and I drove through this area in Jan just after the fires…couldn’t believe how big an area was burnt out…very sad to see so many homes destroyed and lives effected..
That’s what I reckon too, Lenticular, but MASSIVE! There certainly was a lot of burnt out land, it must have been frightening! The native trees are all sprouting madly though, so the bush will fill in the gaps soon. The houses and businesses that are missing are going to take longer, sadly. I did see a great deal of new building work going on though, and the bakery is open again across the road! Thanks Rob!

Great colours, Mel! Such a strange cloud formation!
Thanks Mieks! The lenticular clouds were quite amazing on this day, apparently it was a little chilly! ;)
Impressive sky and interesting foreground with the burnt trees. Lovely work Mel….Hope you got some nice shots from Port Arthur:))
Thanks Claire! I think I may have managed to keep a few Port Arthur shots this time! ;)
Oh my! Fancy having that bearing down on you. Gives me the weebeejeebies. Great shot though Mel.
Thanks Elaine! Yes it was quite a sight!

Definitely lenticular..brilliantly taken..love this Mel.
Haa…I love your imagination. :) I see it! I like the scaling of the trees in comparison too- that thing is massive! (Good processing.)
