Men tinker for attention?

Apparently….me must tinker now has a very good reason….

When I met my husband he wasn’t into tinkering….we celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary today…..he’s out there tinkering as I type….hmmm….

    No, no, no, he’s got all wrong, it’s a defense mechanism. If they’re out of sight, their someimtes limited intelligence tells the, they won’t be asked to perform . . . household chores of varying types. It’s also an escape mechanism – they’re busy, they can’t possibly stop now, they’ll be in when they can. Of course, we wives are smart enough to realise the poor creatures need their “creative” time. Occasionally, they do produce the good, too.

    Tinkering…..never done it…..there is always a purpose and a result….but I guess most women do not see it that way Mel….well….must get back to tinkering with my camera

    Tinkering is the second greatest pleasure in life Mel, whether it be with things, words, music, ideas, images… the man who has no tinkering interest will bore the shite out of you. If you wanted to delay today’s tinkering, maybe you shouldn’a been so cuddly this morning LOL ;-)

    You’re dead right there Matt, without tinkering we’d both be bored witless! That’s why we bought the industrial unit, and why he built (more building!!) the studio….so we can both tinker at will :)

    Mine…well he sort of tinkered 26 yrs ago…now he tinkers LOTS and also gardens…something he certainly didn’t do 26 years ago.

And yeah tinkering is great and I don’t just think guys have the monopoly on it either, some of us gals are mad keen tinkerers too, we just use smaller tools :D Anyway I hope you both have an awesome day and I wish you many more happy years ahead. :))

    In our house…the lack of my tinkering coincides with the production of children. My wife encourages me to tinker at every available opportunity!

    Happy anniversary Mel…...my mum and dad have managed 43…..my dad often jokes that he would have had to serve less time if he had committed murder…..I think people give up all too easy these days and when times get rough….which they sometimes do…they forget what they promised each other when they tied the knot and are far to ready to walk away instead of sorting things out!
