Perched on top
Just for a change I thought I’d post a seascape. :D
I’ve processed this as a single file in CS3 with the ReDynaMix plugin, so it’s a single file HDR.
Canon 5D, 16-35mm at 16mm (of course), f13, 5”, ISO 50.

I love the way the sky takes on so much detail and alsmost demands more attention than the foreground… therefore for me, a fight entails and the winner is the total image! Amazing work Mel! Great achievement!
cdwork, 4 months ago
The clouds are just so 3D they’re awesome. The eye is immediately drawn to those clouds and then as it travels back through the image to the front there comes an amazing serenity. Amazing image

WOW! Mel, this is absolutely incredible.. I love this! I’ve never seen a sky looking so dramatic before, there certainly must have been some great storm brewing up over there. You really get a sense of that in the water too, with the dark murky colours. Very nice work!

One of your best – a stunner. Those clouds are amazing!
Halcyon007, 4 months ago
That sky just brings you in first and foremost, it really looks like a storm is brewing with all the clouds gathering together to become a greater force. The tight crop on the horizon makes the impending storm seem like a long way away and it’s something for the city to deal with which now looks very small when standing up to mother nature. The colours in the top left of the screen work well with the clouds too.
The sea also looks fierce with that dominating sky darkening the waters, despite that gorgeous streak of hope through the middle. The rocks then appear to be mearly bystanders, watching the events of the weather and elements unfold before them as they stand proudly together.
