    The immense scale is the instant draw. Those lines within the sand just rush your eyes straight through to the trees, but they take a while to get there, stopping off at the water midway to observe the stunning reflection of the fortcoming trees.

    I like the positioning of the horizon, so it just fits the trees in nicely but focuses the shot on the textureous ground

    Mel, I love the way you deal with texture, whether it`s rocks or ripples or foamy water, you bring out the detail in a way that amazes us all. Like Stuart says, you use the perspective and powerful texture to suck us right into the frame and your lovely composition. Amazing, as usual!

    Size – Mud crabs can reach a maximum size of approximately 24 centimetres carapace width and 3.5 kilograms in weight.
