The clincher for me is the windshield seal at the top lol.

This is wonderful Mel. I’m sure it will be a great winner for you. It encapsulates just so much – the old barracks, the chatterers, and of course the interior of the vehicle with, as Peter said, the fold-down windshield. Is it an old army jeep?

Amazing Framing Mel, Gorgeous! It looks like it was taken in the 50s or 60s, great work as usual.

Thanks for your wonderful comments, everyone!!. Margo, this is an old Ford truck, with a timber tray. I’ll post some more as I get a chance. Took this shot at a “History Alive” show, with much military bits and pieces on show.

Great perspective to a window to the world… I love the cinematic appeal of this image, and it’s almost too picture perfect – as if there could be some underlying mystery surrounding the course of events. To me this is a stunning shot Mel! especially love the whiteness of the background, if you know what I mean, like the house is painted against a canvas backdrop. Great work!

Thanks Paul, I think the infrared adds an extra dimension to this. I’m glad I chose to shoot the IR

Shades of days gone by – I dont know how I missed this one in your portfolio Mel. The recessive framing really leads the eye into different sections of the photograph, and there is sufficient detail in the foreground shadow to intrigue and make me want to examine every bit of the image for the items depicted.
