@rjcolby – but don’t they take Diesel, looks more like a flat battery as the windows are open still…

Oh Mel, this is my favourite shot, I remember how excited we were to see this minimal world and to land in it and shoot was so exciting, love how you have presented the final image… adore the negative space, the red, the wind swept shirt…. cold but so worth it… this is so my favourite! Love it!
Mel Brackstone replied
It sure was a sight to behold, I think we both had our jaws on the ground when we first drove in here…..lol! Thanks Paul, so pleased you love the final result :)

I love the minimalism in this, and that small slash of bright red really adds so much to it. Paul’s windswept appearance while gazing in apparent bemusement at the confusing workings under the bonnet makes me smile big-time – I can see myself doing just that. Love your treatment, too, it’s slightly hazy effect hasn’t diminished the gleam of water on the ground. Great collab.
midzing

Stuart Chapman
I was going to see this looks like a Vanzella shot and then saw it actually is a shot of Vanzella! I can see how he was so excited.

This is such a classic image. A Vanzella setting in the hands of Mel Brackstone! Love it.
The tones are wonderful and that slash of red of the Gas Station gives it an iconic look.
Love the simplicity and composition… why Paul can never keep his shirt on or under control, I’ll never know!
Mel Brackstone replied
Thanks so much Paul, I’m very much inspired by PVZ, and come on, ya gotta admit the image is made more dynamic by the shirt blowing in the breeze :))
