Outback

The calendar

Because I’m married to a cartographer, and worked in the survey/engineering/mapping industries for many years, images like this have always interested me. Somewhere in outback NSW on a flight from Brisbane to Adelaide. Out near Maude, I think.

Shot with an infrared digital camera, and treated to look like Kodak Tri-X 400TX Pro.

Outback belongs to the following groups:

Bird's Eye View, Black & White Photographers Showcase, Friends of RedBubble, Infrared Photography, Nerds Unite and Riginals Available for sale as

Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

This is just beautiful – I think the scientific aspect gives something to the image – it feels pure and unselfconscious in its beauty. Would love to see it in colour too.
