Caramel swirl
Canon 5D, 70-200mm at 70mm, f/2.8, 3.2”, ISO 400, pre-dawn, hand-held, texture added
The right part of the wreck is no longer there, storms took a metre of sand or so, and that part of the keel collapsed. The council removed it. I hope they’ve retained it!

That’s an interesting texture Mel, it makes the whole scene chilling and foreboding and a bit ethereal…
Mel Brackstone replied
kinda like a photo that’s just about to burst into flames?

A great example of how the right title can really add to the creative context of the shot. I know I’m a write – so a bit biased. But without question words have a place in photography too.
Melinda Kerr
Oops that should have said ‘I know I’m a writer’....hmmm ironic I should have mistyped that word :)

Pure Dicky magic in the hands of the master renderer – all the more poignant now that it is no longer there.
Mel Brackstone replied
I agree Geoff, the wreck just doesn’t have the same interest now that the best part of the keel is missing! Thanks for dropping by :)
