What a place, what a sky, what fabulous winter shadows!

  • Mel Brackstone replied

Winter shadows kindly supplied by the lighting around the pool, since this was pre-dawn :) Colours changed totally once the lights went off, as evidenced by Two

  • Mel Brackstone replied

Thanks for stopping by, Roy :)

This is a breathtaking capture, everything about it is so wonderful, perspective, cool aged tone, aswell as being almost ripple free. Fantastic work

  • Mel Brackstone replied

Thanks Dan! The colours are as they came out of the camera, apart from straightening and fixing the lens distortion, this is as I saw it….was a fab morning!

This is magnificent Mel. Love the tones in this immensly. The lighting is fabulous, the angle makes my dodgy knee flinch a little and the sky is superb. Love the shadow from “One” on the pool edge too.

  • Mel Brackstone replied

My two dodgy knees preclude me from getting low very often, Stuart :) I’m glad we arrived early enough to catch the lights still on. Thanks!

love the composition and perspective too!
they make both levels look so vast! stretching endlessly into the horizon.
and also so flat, cause the pool looks soo big!
    is it?
the clouds give it a depth though.
    the colors are fantastic too!!
    great shot.

  • Mel Brackstone replied

Thanks, it is a massive pool, at least 50m across and 100m long….
